Bucks Lake

We got 6″ over night. It is light, dry, fluffy, and like sugar. A joy to ride!

It was a great Poker Run weekend. I never saw anyone without a smile. Everyone seemed to have a great time. We got just the snow we needed. We went out with the groomer this morning to try to give folks a reasonably good ride as they departed.

It is snowing now, and I am going to leave our big outside light on for a while so the picture watchers can see it pile up. It looks like a snowy week ahead of us, and as long as it does not come all at once, we are excited about it. Snow for riding; water for drinking. What could be better?

For people driving to Bucks today, I think luck is with you. The snow has stopped, and it is getting lighter out all the time. I am guessing that the county will NOT have chain controls at Toll Gate.

Yes, we have it. 3″ yesterday; 6″ overnight, and snowing moderately at 7am.

As I write this at noon, it has been snowing lightly since 10 am. I think our bigger snow will be on Friday. The Poker Run route is all groomed and ready. If we get a lot of snow on Friday, we will re-groom, and maybe add another area.

Both parking areas are available, and the Big Creek Road is in excellent shape for those who might want to avoid the snow and numerous vehicles on the summit.
