Bucks Lake

In the last several days, we have gotten 30″ of snow. Some has been very light and fluffy, and yesterday’s was genuine Sierra Cement, about 10″ of it. Still it is cold and beautiful today, and the snow is great to ride on (in). The riding should be good today, and for a bunch of days to come.

What has been groomed is great. What has not been groomed is 18″ of great powder. We might get a little snow, but so what, it’s winter.  And the Snowdrifters play day starts Saturday at 10 in the meadow, at the fire station. And lunch is served. What more could you ask for????

The picture says it all: we got 18″ of light, fluffy powder over night and into this morning. Right now (11:20 am) the snow has almost stopped, and the sun is trying to come out. I’d be all for that…..
