The County got to between the two lodges today. One might assume they spent some time plowing the road they had already cleared, so they could get back out, since it snowed about a foot today. The progress is about what we figured – they will get to the fire house on Thursday, then take the weekend off (they work 4 days), and then we hope they will head for the dam on Monday. My guess is that will take two days. Then, if previous years patterns hold, they will head down the Oro-Quincy Highway to the snow line, and then back to do the Highlands, and down Big Creek. They might be done with all of that next week, or it might slide over to the following week. But, unless you are on the main roads, good luck getting into your cabin any time soon. On Mile High Road, we will wait to plow till we have about 2 feet average. In addition, we have at least 11 trees down across the road, and I think we are typical. We might get in for Memorial Day. Maybe……
