THE @$*&# CAMERA

Yup, it is back working. If only Foscam would tell you what you REALLY have to do to install it. I found the secret in an old youtube video. And now I know for the next time it pitches a fit…..

MAKING SENSE OF IT

First, we finally are back at the cabin. And, the camera is dead….. We have ordered another. I’m guessing max, two weeks from today. So, since the camera was non functional, probably a lot of people did not drill further to the weather page. Here’s a diary of December and January weather events:

12-8 Snow 1″ Rain 1.26
12-9 Rain 1.30
12-10 Rain 3.27
12-13 Rain .59
12-14 Rain 1.10
12-15 Rain 6.02
12-23 Snow 6″

1-2 Snow 10″
1-3 Snow 20″
1-7 Rain 3.50
1-8 Rain 7.44 (really)
1-9 Snow 33″
1-10 Snow 40″ (again, really)
1-11 Snow 9″
1-12 Snow 2″
1-18 Rain 2.12
1-19 Snow 13″
1-20 Snow 23″ Power off.
1-21 Snow 22″
1-22 Snow 25″
1-23 Snow 5″
1-24 Power back on

So, quite the winter explosion. I wish Mother Nature would even accounts a litle more slowly, when She decides to catch up……l

TRYING TO KEEP UP

For reasons best known to itself, the camera has locked up. The weather page is still updating, though the rain gauge is covered by ice, and not registering. The Weather Service estimate for Saturday and Sunday is 9.44″. And the forecast for the next 24 hours is for snow: 33″.

Getting back to the lake to fix all this has proved elusive thus far, and now the Weather Service is predicting as much as 70″ of snow this week at Bucks.

We’ll be fixing the camera (and probably a lot of other stuff) as soon as we can get access…..

SNOW?

Well, I guess this is “IT.” If the Weather Service forecast is to be believed, we should get around 60″ of snow between tonight, (1-2), and next Saturday. Oh. And then there is the “atmospheric river” forecast for the weekend. If warm, it may wash away much of the snow below 8,000 feet. If cold, it could add several feet above 5,000 feet.

Why is it, when Mother Nature balances the books, She so often does in one great big dump???
