Bucks Lake

We are way overdue for an update here. First, I want to emphasize that, except for a few days, this fire has done nothing more at Bucks than provide us a show most every afternoon. Very little smoke has made it into the basin. I have taken a number of photos. You can find them on the Sacramento channel 10 website: www.news10.net. Once that site loads, just click on “photos”.

At Bucks we are well protected from the advances of the fire. Not so those people along 70 and 89, all the way to the Almanor west shore. So our thoughts are with them as they prepare to evacuate, and also with the firefighters, who have a very tough job confronting them.
