We fixed the software and a broken antenna. I’m almost afraid to exhale….
I am working to correct problems that arose with the installation of a new router (which the camera does not like, at all). It could take a few days to fix. Meanwhile the Weather Station is updating properly.
For persons looking at the picture late on Sunday, that is hail. Very heavy hail from an intense electric storm at 3:30 pm. And I do mean…. intense.
I know a number of people watch this space regularly. I want to make sure you get the best out of your obsession. If you have a PC, do a Control/+ click as many times as your screen can handle it, to grow the picture. (That’s control/plus sign) If you have a Mac, the process is Command +. And have fun.
By the end of Thursday, all basin roads will have been plowed, and also the Oro-Quincy Highway to the Butte line. Various contractors are starting to plow the cabin access roads.
Also, PG&E has requested I post another link to an announcement about their FERC/Bucks Lake relicensing. Once again, I will try to make it clickable, but if not, just paste or copy it into your browser. http://elibrary.ferc.gov/idmws/common/OpenNat.asp?fileID=13228650
The road opening is going way faster than, perhaps, ever before. If you click on the Bucks Lake Fire link you will see the webcam image of the fire department intersection. The County anticipates heading toward the Dam Road before the end of the week. Amazing.
The County is scheduled to begin plowing this morning (Monday). It is likely they are doing that even with the small amount of new snow. They will go to the fire station, and then turn left to do Big Creek, the Highlands, and Countryman. Then they will return to do the Dam Road and Oro-Quincy Highway to the county line. You can check their progress by getting on the county’s website..
The link is working the way it was designed by PG&E. They expect you to see the form as a PDF file, using Adobe, (free download at adobe.com). Then you download and print it, fill it out and snail mail it. Seems a little 1990 to me, but that’s how it is. Still it is worth doing to express yourself.
I have had some feedback the web address in the post below is not working. Here it is again:
http://elibrary.ferc.gov/idmws/common/OpenNat.asp?fileID=13204387
If this does not work, let me know and I will take it up with PG&E…….
