YES!!
“How long have you been waiting to vote?”
“Four years….”
“How long have you been waiting to vote?”
“Four years….”
When the Sheriff says to get out, that is what you do. And we did. I think the risk is small in our particular area, BUT…, Mother Nature is in control of our current fire mess, and she is certainly pitching a fit…..
It started snowing last Saturday, and finally quit on Wednesday. The grand total: 65″. We are buried. And more fun to come next week. Maybe we will get dug out by then…..
I have some sad news to pass on here: Donald E. Ward, 1927 – 2020, a WWII Navy veteran, and a graduate of Sacramento State College, passed away this week. The Ward Dyer family built their cabin at Bucks Lake in 1936, and has enjoyed summers at the Lake for 83 years. A memorial will be held at Pleasant Grove Community Church 1730 Pleasant Grove Blvd. Roseville, CA 95747 on February 8 at 11 am.
From the Plumas County Road Department: Given the strength of the Thanksgiving week storm, the county will NOT be plowing. Spread that word…..
The present Weather Service prediction for Bucks Lake is about 34″…..
A large number of cabin owners voted against the Good Old Boys in the July 6 election, but not enough of them understood the truth to prevent that outcome.
Now they magnanimously want us to just forget it all and join in some kind of love fest.
What?
An entire year of: theft; embezzlement; cover up; conspiracy; horrible, vile, venomous, hate filled social media attacks; personal attacks and bullying against a group of elected persons who were just trying to do their jobs; a violent, damaging vandalism on my truck while parked on the summit.
Forget? No. I will remember all of it, and I, for one, will never trust those people again. I have no respect for any of them. The deepest emotion I feel is disappointment that so many people were tricked into believing a nicely packaged bunch of lies.
Get my money in the future? No way, and I am certain I am not alone…..
Well, that beats the tree well reference. So winter…..
Roads are plowed, there is a little mud, lake is high. Might just be getting toward serious summer. PG&E says there is still 25″ of water equivalent to melt. And that with the lake spilling for the last 6 weeks. The only other thing that would make things more ideal right now would be social tranquility. Hopefully, we are getting there, and Bucks will be a fun place once again…..
Remember, when you look at the snow gauge, it is on a tree, in a tree well. Add about two feet to what you see. For reference, all the STOP signs are buried, and they are 8 feet tall.
As close as I can estimate, we got 67″ of snow fall during the last 24 hours. That is just more than enough. Mother Nature, can you hear me? Please…..
Yup. A ridiculous amount of snow over night. As close as I can tell, there is about 53″ of new snow over night.
I continue to be impressed with the Ranger. It made it up Mile High to the Dam Road just now. I had to back up and run at it several times, as the “sierra cement” just piles up in front and does not go anywhere. This much snow has to be just about the limit of what the Ranger will handle.
