We have not been as active with the groomer as I thought we would be. Primarily because there has been no new snow, and you can ride anywhere. Jay did groom the local roads and out to 4 Trees last week.
To be honest, the conditions are less than ideal. We are in a freeze/thaw cycle that produces hard, slick ice at night, till mid morning, and then soft surface after that. The shaded areas are remaining frozen all the time, so it can get tricky riding or walking in some areas.
The lake is pretty well frozen over, and this morning the ice was singing and moaning. If you have been here during winter, you know what that means. It is almost like the lake is alive.
